On Tuesday May 16, Thomas James Shutt entered suddenly, but peacefully, into eternity from natural causes.

He is the beloved son of Wanda and Dan, and best friend and brother of Emily and John.

He passed while doing what he loved, preparing his newest novel to share with the world. Thomas graduated with honors from Penn State University Schreyer Honors College. Thomas is a New York Times and USA Today best-selling author, who has published six novels, with another five scheduled to be released this year. He also collaborated internationally as a co-author, editor, and cover designer. When he wasn’t writing, editing, or reading, he was busy singing, playing games (winning), and hanging out with friends and family, both the human kind and the furry kind. His boundless intellect, unique sense of humor, and kind and gentle nature endeared him to many, and he is deeply loved and profoundly missed. There are no words, and at the same time not enough words, to describe the man that he was, the man that he is, and the man he was to become. But if there were, he would have been the one to write them.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 from 5:00-6:30 p.m. followed by a memorial service at 7:00 p.m. at the James J. Terry Funeral Home, 736 E. Lancaster Avenue, Downingtown.
