Thomas M. Barrett, 38, of West Chester, passed away on Monday, September 4, 2017. He was the beloved husband of Jena Mae Christopher with whom he shared 3 loving years of marriage.

Born in Downingtown, he was the son of Edmée Combs West and the late Thomas Murray Barrett.

Thomas was an honors graduate from the Art Institute of Philadelphia. He was a devoted friend to all who knew him. He was the light and joy in any room and brought smiles and belly laughter wherever he went. He was a talented graphic designer with a creative eye. Tom loved all animals, especially his pit bull Meika. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed traveling, exploring and camping with the love of his life Jena Mae. Tom also enjoyed cooking and sharing meals with friends and family. He was the happiest when he was smiling, laughing and dancing with his many friends and family. His dance moves and circus tricks were the absolute life of any party and his compassion for others was one of a kind.

In addition to his wife and mother, Thomas is survived by his sister, Catharine Barrett Karnis (Russell); Emily Barrett Micco (Pat); sister in law, Sara Christopher (Dan); stepfather in law, Daniel Hossack; nieces: Sophie, Isabelle and Pearl; nephews: Jack, Alexander, William, Julian and Harrington; and numerous, cherished aunts, uncles and cousins. Thomas was also predeceased by his sister Mimi Barrett.
