Ruth M. Jameson of West Chester

Ruth M. Jameson, 92, of West Chester, passed away on Sunday, June 4, 2017 at Brandywine Hall in West Chester. She was the beloved wife of the late Harvey Jameson, who passed away in 1986.

Born in West Chester, she was the daughter of the late Walter and May Pierce Henry.

Ruth worked on the assembly line at Lionville Manufacturing before retiring in 1981. She was an avid dancer and especially enjoyed dancing at the V.F.W. and the Brickette Lounge. She also enjoyed bowling, her daily walks in the mall and spending time with her family.

She is survived by three children, Deborah M. Shackal of Coatesville, Gary V. Jameson of Phoenixville and Randy L. Jameson of Glenmoore. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Jeffrey, Justine, Douglas and Christopher Jameson and by three great grandchildren, Caleb and Chloe Wright and Piper Jameson. Ruth was predeceased by her siblings, Walter P., Joseph W., Esther M., Jack C. and Pete D. Henry and Lavern Alderman and by a grandson, Thomas Jameson as well as her partner Wayne Shirey with whom she shared many years of love and companionship.

Private services will be held by the family.
