June M. Woodward, 90, of Exton, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 8, 2024 at her residence. She was the wife of the late Douglas L. Woodward, Sr., who passed away in 2016.
Born in Trenton, New Jersey on September 3, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Rudolph Fuessel, Sr. and Mary Lownie Fuessel. June graduated from Trenton High School with the Class of 1952. She had a strong faith and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Downingtown. She enjoyed gardening, knitting and crocheting, and loved spending time in the kitchen cooking and baking.
Surviving are her children Douglas L. Woodward, Jr., husband of Suzanne, of Audubon, PA and Sherri M. Haines, of Exton; granddaughter Rebecca Haines; great grandchildren Vethan Fronheiser, Khema Woodward and Kai Haines; nephews Bobby and Scotty, and niece Kimmie, and on her husband’s side, niece Nancy and nephews Thomas and Norris. She was preceded in death by her granddaughters Sarah Haines, Heather Woodward and Emily Haines, and brothers Robert Fuessel and Rudolph Fuessel.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, April 15, 2024 at 11 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 332 Manor Avenue, Downingtown, PA 19335. Evening viewing will be held on Sunday, April 14th from 5 - 7 PM at the James J. Terry Funeral Home, 736 E. Lancaster Avenue, Downingtown, PA 19335, as well as Monday from 9:45 – 10:45 AM at the church prior to mass. Interment will be in Philadelphia Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in June’s memory to St. Joseph Catholic Church.
