Joan L. Levenite

Joan Lois Levenite was born on August 27,1930 in Pottstown, PA, and passed away peacefully at Paoli Hospital surrounded by her family on April 23, 2024.

Joan is survived by her brother, Francis Beideman, and her daughters: Suzanne Pollard, Ann Marie Thiede and her husband George, and Jeanne Forese and her husband Michael, 7 grandchildren: John and Matthew Pollard; Jenny, Scott and Kelly Thiede; Michael and Andrew Forese, and 6 great grandchildren: Dylan, Jada, Maya, Rowan, Liam, and Lyric Pollard.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Cathy Levenite, and her brother, Raymond Noble. Joan was married to Harold for fifty years until his death in 2001.

Joan worked as a para-professional for 26 years in math and science for the Coatesville Area School District, North Brandywine Middle School, and retired in 1996. She was a long-time member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church, Coatesville, and became a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, West Brandywine Township. She enjoyed many years at the Wagontown Swim Club and was a member of the Town and Country Garden Club where she served as president.

Joan enjoyed gardening, loved her home and spending time decorating it. She enjoyed spending time at the beach and her travels with her brother in California.

A visitation will be held on Friday, May 3, 2024 from 9:45-10:45 AM at St. Peter Catholic Church, 2835 Manor Rd., West Brandywine Twp., PA 19320. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM at the church. Interment will be conducted privately at the convenience of the family.
