Jean L. Villani

May 24, 1942 ~ February 4, 2018 (age 75) 75 Years Old

Jean Louise Villani, nee Grudak, 75, passed away on Sunday, February 4, 2018 at Clare Bridge Memory Care, Freedom Village in Coatesville, Pennsylvania. She was the beloved wife of Guerino (known as “Joe” and “Sonny”) Villani, Jr. They were high school sweethearts and celebrated 50 years of marriage before Joe passed away in 2010. Jean was born on May 24, 1942 in Framingham, Massachusetts and was the daughter of the late Chester and Louise Grudak.

Jean attended Holliston High School, and married Sonny shortly after high school. It was during her childhood in Holliston that Jean found her love of horses. While living in Pennsylvania in the 1980’s, she became an accomplished equestrian breeder, and won numerous state and national championships, including the Devon Horse Show. She genuinely loved all animals, including, but not limited to, the many horses, dogs, and cats she had on her farm in Glenmoore, PA.

One of her fellow high school classmates said it best when they wrote “Days will always be Sonny for Jean” in Jean’s high school yearbook.

In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her grandson, Charlie, who passed away in 2015.

They raised four children together; Susan Arlene Vaughn of Fredericksburg, VA, Daniel John Villani (Katie) of Inman, SC, Kenneth Scott Villani (Deborah) of Winterville, NC,  and Lauren Christine May (Chris) of Malvern, PA, sister Arlene Hoch of Rochester, NY, 11 grandchildren; Ashley, Joseph, Molly, Joshua, Kendall, Sophia, Victoria, Sawyer, Henry, Erin, and Piper, 2 great grandchildren; Jack and Clark.

Please join the family on Friday, February 9, 2018, at St. Peter Church, 2835 Manor Rd. West Brandywine, PA 19320 to celebrate Jean’s life. Visitation will be from 9AM-10:50AM, followed by a funeral mass at 11AM. Interment will immediately follow to All Souls Cemetery, W. Brandywine, PA.

In lieu of flowers, gifts in Jean’s name can be made to Ryerss Farm for Aged Equines, 1710 Ridge Road, Pottstown, PA 19465 or LaMancha Animal Rescue, 855 Doe Run, Rd., Coatesville, PA 19320.
