Fond memories of Jeff when Steve and Lucas were growing up. Always so kind and such a good smile. Thinking of all of you during this difficult time.

Kathy, Dave, Lori, Mary and Family.
I knew Jeff from my earliest years in Mexico, Maine. My parents became great friends with Jeff and Aveline. I became best friends with Dave. I have so many fond memories. I remember Jeff being one of the funniest guys I have ever known. For some reason he and my Dad used to call each other Rastus! I have no idea where that came from. My parents have told me stories about the time the Jefferson's went with them to Prince Edward Island in the mid sixties. On of the funniest stories from that trip was when my father ordered a plate of fried clams and received whole belly clams fried in a pan with butter and were tough as shoe leather. My mother said Jeff's reaction and comments was one of the funniest things she ever seen and heard. My dad has always said Jeff was one of his best friends. My self personally this saddens me. Not only is it the loss of a man I always admired although I haven't seen in many years, but it puts me in touch with parents mortality.
God bless the entire Jefferson family. This day will be difficult, but we will all see ole Rastus again one day!
