George S. Vangieri, Sr, 93, of Exton, passed away on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at Exton Senior Living.  He was the husband of the late Antoinette Ferrise Vangieri, with whom he shared 66 years of marriage prior to her passing in 2014.

Born in Belmont Hills, he was the son of the late Joseph and Marion Petrellis Vangieri.
George proudly served his country in the United States Navy during World War II.  He worked for the United States Postal Service for 37  years retiring in 1988.

He is survived by his sons, Joseph J. Vangieri and wife, Loretta and George W. Vangieri, Jr. and wife, Barbara.  Grandchildren, Dominic and Todd; and by 3 great-granddaughters and 1 great- grandson

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, December 1, 2017 at St. Joseph Church, 338 Manor Avenue, Downingtown.  Family and friends will be received from 9:00-10:15 a.m.

Interment will be private
