Frances M. Groff, 94 of Thorndale passed away on Wednesday January 10, 2018 at the Tel Hai Nursing Center in Honeybrook, she was the wife of the late James D. Groff Jr. with whom she shared 57 years of marriage.

Born in Coatesville, she was the daughter of the late Antonio & Rosario Frogalia Guiseppe.

Frances was a 1940 graduate of Coatesville High School. She was retired from the Thorndale Post Office where she worked for 25 years. Frances was an active member of the Thorndale United Methodist Church & Caln Privileged Citizens. Most of all she will be remembered for being a devoted wife, mom and a very proud grandmother.

Frances is survived by her two sons James D. Groff III (Joann) & Jeffrey L. Groff (Deborah) also survived by her four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by brothers Nicolas, Albert and Michael Guiseppe and sisters Josephine, Antoinette and Julia.

Funeral services will be held on Monday January 15, 2018 at 11 am from the James J. Terry Funeral Home 736 E. Lancaster Ave, Downingtown where friends may visit from 9:15 to 10:45 am.

Interment Fairview Cemetery Coatesville.
