Elizabeth "Betty" A. Werner, 85, of Downingtown passed away in the early morning hours of Monday, June 5th, 2017. Betty and her husband, Walter M.N. Werner, who passed in early 2016, were married nearly 66 years at the time of his death.

Betty was one of seven children born to Lewis V. Illingsworth and Marian M. Ferguson. She grew up in Chester and eventually graduated from Media High School in Green Ridge, class of 1950.

Betty was best known for her giving nature and enjoyed baking for her loved ones. She will be greatly missed by all her family and friends. May God bless her kind soul so she can forever Rest In Peace.

She is survived by their four children: Donna L. Kenworthey (William) of Downingtown, Walter M. Werner (Melissa) of East Earl, Ellen M. Werner of Holyoke, MA and Christopher L. Werner of Downingtown. Betty has six grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, a brother, William Illingsworth of Potter County and a large extended family. She is predeceased in death by her siblings Elva DeAngelis, Charlotte Snyder, Lewis Illingsworth, Dolores Hall and Marion McCleft.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 9, 2017 at the James J. Terry Funeral Home, 736 E. Lancaster Avenue, Downingtown. Family and friends will be received from 9-10:45 a.m.

Interment will be in Philadelphia Memorial Park, Frazer.
