Dorothy E. Ludwick

Dorothy E. Ludwick, 95, of Downingtown, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 25, 2024 at Arbor Terrace in Exton.  She was the beloved wife of the late Robert H. Ludwick, Sr., with whom she shared 61 years of marriage prior to his passing in 2010.

Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Francis and Helen Bixler Bickings.

Dorothy was a long-time resident of the Village or Marshallton and long-time member of Marshallton United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her sons, Robert H. Ludwick, Jr. (Sharman L.) and Randy H. Ludwick (John Justice); two grandchildren, Jordan C. Ludwick and Amy Ludwick Dauksis (Ryan); two great grandchildren, Nash and Luke Dauksis and by a sister-in-law, Janet Bickings.

In addition to her parents and husband, Dorothy was predeceased by six brothers, Francis, Fredrick, Harold, Preston, Herbert, Raymond and three sisters, Helen Kirn, Jeanette Carpenter and Edna May Liney.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 30, 2024 at Marshallton United Methodist Church, 1282 W. Strasburg Road, West Chester.  Family and friends will be received from 9:00-10:45 a.m.

Interment will be in Bradford Cemetery, West Chester.
