Daniel R. Shoop, 87, of West Chester, passed away on Friday, August 25, 2017. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Mary J. Shoop, with whom he shared 58 loving years of marriage at the time of her passing in 2013.

Daniel graduated from Purdue University in June 1952 with a degree in Civil Engineering and received his Professional Engineering License in 1964.

He was a proud member of the R.O.B. Club, belonged to the Philadelphia chapter of the Pennsylvania Railroad Technical/Historical Society. He was an avid Philadelphia sports fan but also held a special place in his heart for the Chicago Cubs because of his childhood in Illinois, and was particularly thrilled and excited when the Cubs recently won the World Series!
