Daniel Andrew Mooney, 77, of West Brandywine, passed away on Saturday, May 20,
2017, at Exton Senior Living. He was the beloved husband of the late Eileen M.
(McGarry) Mooney, with whom he shared 48 years of marriage with at the time of her
passing in 2010.

Born in Turtle Creek, he was the son of the late Andrew Francis and Dorothy Marie
Rannigan Mooney.

Daniel’s Military service included both the Army and Navy

Daniel graduated from West Chester University in 1981 with a Bachelor’s Degree in
Psychology and worked as a drug and alcohol addiction counselor for Holcomb
Behavior Health 10 years and Mirmont Treatment Center for 11 years. Prior to his social work career, he was employed with Pepperidge Farm..

Dan had many hobbies and interests including fishing, sailing, and gardening. He was a firm believer in meditation and music therapy and participated in the practice of Reiki.
He was also an active member of the Knights of Columbus.

Mr. Mooney is survived by his children, Christopher Mooney of Glenmoore, Bridget
Armbrust and her husband, Alex Barna of Downingtown, and Sean Mooney and his wife,
Leah, of Romansville; brother, Andrew Mooney of South Carolina; and nine
grandchildren, Andrew, Caitlin, Nolan, Colin, Maureen, Kaela, Aiden, Bridget, and
Conor.
In addition to his parents and wife, Daniel is predeceased by three brothers, Paul Mooney, Richard Mooney and Gilbert Mooney.

A memorial mass will take place at 11 AM on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at St. Peter Church,
2835 Manor Road, West Brandywine, PA 19320. Interment will be private.
