On May 12, 2017, Damon Michael Cawley, of Coatesville, Pennsylvania, entered into eternal peace. Born on March 31, 1977 in West Chester, PA, he was the beloved son of Michael E. Cawley (Jean de Saint Phalle) and Susan E. Kegler (Harold), dear brother of Lauren, Maggie, and Elisa Cawley, and step brother of Todd, Erik, and Beau Kegler.

Damon graduated from Coatesville Area Senior High School in 1995, where he was a member of the Meistersingers and the Red Raiders soccer team. He attended the University of Scranton in Scranton, Pennsylvania, where he received his B.S. and Masters in Physical Therapy. He attained licenses in six states, improving the lives of many over the course of his career.

Damon will be remembered for his passion and dedication for learning; this applied to his work as well as his hobbies. Over the years, he became an avid fisherman, kite surfer, swimmer, and confectioner. Damon was a caring therapist and gifted teacher, enthusiastically sharing his knowledge with others. He was a brilliant and unique soul, with a beaming smile, infectious laugh, and a huge heart. He touched many lives and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his parents and siblings, Damon is survived by his aunts, uncles and many cousins.

To honor Damon’s ongoing quest for discovery, a scholarship fund has been established in his name. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to: Coatesville Scholarship Awards, in Memory of Damon Cawley, ℅ Michelle Snyder, Coatesville Area Senior High School, 1445 Lincoln Hwy, Coatesville, PA 19320.

Family and friends will be notified when plans have been made for a celebration of Damon’s life.
