Catherine V. Klimek

September 22, 1934 ~ December 14, 2017 (age 83) 83 Years Old

Catherine Virginia Klimek, known to family and friends as Ginny, passed away Thursday the 14th of December 2017 in West Chester, Pennsylvania. Ginny was a member of Saint Elizabeth’s Parish in Exton and was a long-time resident of the Potter Building in Eagleview.
She was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and made a life with her husband Leo and her daughters Kathy and Merry in Mount Laurel, New Jersey. Ginny’s love and devotion to her family was unparalleled. Nothing brought her more joy than supporting and celebrating her two daughters in all of their endeavors, always offering beaming pride in their successes, strength of spirit in the face of challenges, and heartfelt laughter in moments of joy. Kathy’s husband, Stephen, brought love and light to Ginny’s life, treating her to big hugs, big laughs, and to what she insisted was the best barbecue she had ever had. She was devoted to her three grandchildren, Katie, Justin, and Kelly Anne, always celebrating their achievements with matchless happiness and rejoicing in the small moments that she shared with them over Christmas gift bags, living-room dinners, and singing toys of all varieties. " Ginny also loved Katie's partner, Elena, like a 4th grandchild, and was so happy to have the chance to attend their wedding this past October."
Her joyous love of life could also be seen in her adoration of the animals in her life. Merry’s animals that Ginny affectionately considered her grandchildren too, brought her such love, happiness and fun. And they loved her so, always excited when she came to see them.
She spent years attending Merry’s sheepdog trials with her beloved border collies, attending Merry’s horse shows with her cherished horses, and simply hanging out with the rest of the dogs and cats at Merry’s home. Ginny also adored Kathy’s three treasured family dogs (who adored her just as equally), and had such fun with the many rescued foster puppies that passed through Kathy’s home. Ginny’s granddaughters Katie and Kelly Anne, also avid horseback riders, could always count on their grandmother to be cheering them on at competitions or simply spending time with them at the stable.
Ginny’s love of life, laughter, and family was matched only by her unwavering Catholic faith. Her love and devotion to God was always palpable, inspiring and encouraging those who encountered it. The strength of Ginny’s private faith was reflected in her devotion to her parish and her true friendships with the many priests who served Saint Elizabeth’s throughout her years there.
In addition to her daughters, son-in-law, and grandchildren, Ginny is survived by her loving brother Richard, her five nephews Bill, Rob, Sean, Paul, and Philip, and their children. Ginny’s five nephews are the sons of her beloved and missed twin sister Pat Wordinger, and she always loved these boys as her own.
Our hearts are hurting and our lives feel empty with her passing but we will always keep her close in our hearts and minds forever.
Her funeral mass will be held on Tuesday December 19,2017 at 10:30 am from St. Elizabeth Church 120 St. Elizabeth Drive Chester Springs, Pa. Interment Pvt.
