Bonnie R. Paynic, 77, of West Chester, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 14, 2017 at Chester County Hospital.
She was the wife of the late Noel Paynic with whom she shared 26 years of marriage with at his time of passing in 1998.
Born in Camden, New Jersey, Bonnie was the daughter of the late Carlton W. and Adeline Stroup Rowand.
She attended the University of Miami, graduating in 1956 where she majored in fashion merchandising and met the love of her life Noel Paynic. After graduating, Bonnie worked as a buyer for Strawbridge & Clothier Department Stores. She was also employed by Deluxe Checks where she worked for 20 years.
Bonnie was a member of Hopewell United Methodist Church and a faithful Christian. She enjoyed singing with the Philadelphia Singing City and spent many summers in Ocean City, New Jersey where her family had a beach house. Bonnie had a special love for her cats and especially enjoyed spending time with her family.
Bonnie is survived by a sister, Sylvia Linus of Florida, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, Bonnie is predeceased by one sister Adeline Heston.
A memorial service will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 23, 2017, at Hopewell United Methodist Church, 852 Hopewell Road, Downingtown, where family and friends may call from 9:30 – 10:45 a.m. Interment will be held at Hopewell Cemetery, Downingtown.
