Dr. Anthony “Doc” Ricci, age 99, of Downingtown, PA, passed away at home peacefully on Thursday, September 21, 2017. Anthony was born in Easton, PA, to the late Cesar Ricci and Philomena (Deritus) Ricci. In 1955, Anthony joined the military and served as a Dental Officer. Anthony first received his Undergraduate Degree from Lafayette University in Chemistry. He then followed to the University Of Pennsylvania School Of Dental Medicine, and at one time served as the President of the International Association of Orthodontics. Anthony lectured many times at an Orthodontic School in Pueblo, Mexico named, Centro Mexicano en Estomatologia, and honored him by naming a classroom after him. Anthony resided in Downingtown most of his life, and was a true pillar of the community. Anthony belonged to the Amphibious order of Frogs, St. Anthony’s Lodge, the original Downingtown “Lookin’ Good Club,” Whitford Country Club, and was a pioneer of the Orthodontic and Dental Medical community. Anthony will be remembered most for his fair and generous nature. In addition to his parents, Anthony is preceded in death by his parents, and wife Grace Ricci. Anthony is survived and missed by his 3 children; Toni Kilkeary, Bruce A. Ricci, and Brian D. Ricci, 10 siblings, Yolanda Ricci, Mafalda Ricci, Sundrena Ricci, Sally Ricci, Olga Ricci, Mary Ricci, Clair Ricci, Edward Ricci, Raymond Ricci, John Ricci, 8 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Thursday evening, September 28, 6-8PM, at the James J. Terry Funeral Home, 736 E. Lancaster Avenue, Downingtown, PA 19335. and again on Friday morning, September 29, 2017, 9:30-10:45AM at St. Joseph’s Church, 460 Manor Ave, Downingtown, PA, 19335, followed by a funeral mass at 11AM.
