Theresa M. Rodner, 67, passed away on Sunday, December 4, 2011 at Paoli Memorial Hospital.  She was the beloved wife of Robert A. Rodner, with whom she shared 41 years of marriage.

Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Emma Dinella Tomasso. 

Theresa received her bachelor’s degree from Immaculata University in 1965, and earned her master’s degree from Villanova University in 1966.

She taught fifth grade at the Manor Elementary School in Haverford Township.  For more than twenty years, she loved to substitute teach at both Ss. Philip & James in Exton and St. Agnes in West Chester.

In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, gardening, and trips to Cape May.  She especially enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son, Derek, his wife, Marlene and grandchildren, Rachel, Alayna, and Xavier of Chester Springs; and by her daughter, Rose Renee Rodner-Tims, her husband, Michael and grandchildren, Emma and Benjamin of Exton.  She is also survived by her sister, Renee Esposito and her husband, Mark, of Downingtown.

Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 9, at Ss. Philip and James Church, 107 N. Ship Road, Exton, where family and friends may call from 9:30 – 10:45 a.m.  A visitation will also be held on Thursday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the James J. Terry Funeral Home, 736 E. Lancaster Ave., Downingtown.  Interment will be in St. Ann Cemetery in Phoenixville.
