George Patrylak

George Patrylak, 83, of Downingtown, passed away suddenly at his home on Saturday December 31, 2011.

He was the beloved husband of Delores A. Moharsky Patrylak, with whom he shared 54 years of marriage.

Born in Hanover Twp, George was the son of the late John and Eva Patrylak.

He was a graduate of Hanover High School in Wilkes-Barre and of St. Joseph's University in Philadelphia.

George proudly served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

He was General Manager of Mount-Airy Lodge in Mount Pocono, General Manager of Downingtown Inn and Golf Club, owner of Brandywine Inn in Chadds Ford, and Vice President at Royal Bank of Pennsylvania.

George was a member of the AMVETS Post 59 of Wilkes-Barre and a former member of the Lions Club in Downingtown.

In addition to his wife Delores, Mr. Patrylak is survived by his three children, Robert A. Patrylak and his wife, Donna, of Marietta, Georgia, G. David Patrylak and his wife, Marianne, of Audubon, Dr. Carol Ann Bowden of Mountain View, California; five grandchildren, Melissa, Megan, Stephen, Michael and David; brother, Rev. Frank Patrylak of New Jersey; sister, Eve Malischak; and nieces and nephews.

An evening visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 4th from 6-8 pm and a morning visitation on Thursday, January 5th from 9:30-10:30 am at the James J. Terry Funeral Home, 736 E. Lancaster Ave., Downingtown,

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 am on Thursday, January 5th at St. Joseph Church, 338 Manor Ave., Downingtown, PA 19335

 Interment will be in All Souls Cemetery, West Brandywine.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Lord’s Pantry, 141 E. Lancaster Ave., Downingtown, PA 19335 or the St. Joseph Church Building Fund, at the above address.
