Muriel G. Lewis, 72, of West Chester, passed away on Thursday, November 10, 2011 at Hickory House Nursing Home, surrounded by her loving family.

She was the beloved wife of Thomas D. Lewis, with whom she shared 53 years of marriage.

Born in Haverford, Muriel was the daughter of the late Albert, Jr. and Muriel Moyer Geiger.

Before her retirement this past May, she was the organist for St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Exton for 35 years.

Muriel enjoyed playing the piano and handwork, such as quilting, knitting and crochet. She also loved spending time with her grandchildren and grand-dog, Blaze.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Lewis is survived by her children, Karen L. Keen and her husband, Keith, of Narvon, and Terry L. Lewis and his wife, Virginia, of West Chester; grandchildren, Kiersten, Kalyn, Kendyl, Tirzah, and B’Elanna.

She was also predeceased by her brother, Albert F. Geiger, III.

An evening visitation will be held from 7-9 pm on Tuesday, November 15th at the James J. Terry Funeral Home, 736 E. Lancaster Ave., Downingtown.

A funeral service will take place at 11 am on Wednesday, November 16th at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, 101 Worthington Rd., Exton, PA 19341, where family and friends may call from 10-11 am

Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery.
