John J. Goleash Jr.,"Jack" age 72, of West Brandywine, passed away on Friday January 13, 2012 with his family by his side. He was the loving husband of Joanne Woodward Goleash, with whom he shared 52 years of marriage.
Born in Hazelton, Pa, he was the son of the late John J. Sr. and Verna Rose Stranko Goleash. He attended Marple Newtown High School.
Mr. Goleash was retired from the Plumbers Union 690 of Philadelphia where he worked as a Union plumber for 21 years before his retirement in 2000.
Jack was an avid hunter and he enjoyed fishing and archery with his grandsons Ian and Jake. He was a long time member of the West Caln Sportsman’s Club. He was a very good carpenter and could fix just about anything. He also had a unique talent for inventing. Most importantly, Jack will be remembered as a loving Husband, Dad and Poppop.
Jack loved being with his family and adored spending time with his granddaughter Lola. He also thoroughly enjoyed his beloved dog Madden. In addition to his wife Joanne, he is survived by three daughters, Eileen Goleash of Trappe, Kim Colman and husband James of Downingtown and Jackie Trullinger and husband Ted of Bridgeport. Also survived by a brother Francis of Exton, a sister Monica Jarrell of Grandville Summitt, PA, three grandchildren Ian, Jake, and Lola and a dear family friend Linda Rebstock of Trappe.
A funeral service will take place on Wednesday January 18, 2011 at 11 AM at the James J. Terry Funeral Home 736 E. Lancaster Ave Downingtown, Pa where friends may call from 9 to 10:45 AM
Interment will be Private.
