Emily Dardine

Emily Dardine, age 85, of West Chester, went to be with her lord and savior Jesus Christ on Friday Feb. 3, 2012 at the Brandywine Hall, with her loving family by her side. Emily was the wife of the late Francis G. Dardine with whom she spent 7 years of marriage and the late William T. Leopold Sr. with whom she spent 44 years of marriage.

Born in Phila, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Anna Hopwood Lang.

Mrs. Dardine was a graduate of Mastbaum High School in Philadelphia. She enjoyed needlepoint, crossword puzzles and was very fond of early American Indian culture. She so enjoyed Indian culture she named two of her dogs Apache 1, Apache 2 and the third Tiger. 

Emily is survived by four children William T. Leopold Jr. and wife Patricia of Trappe, Amy Emily Stillman and husband Edwin J.C. of West Chester, Susan E. Robinson of Screvin Ga. and Jonathan L. Leopold and wife Michelle of Wernersville, Pa.. Also survived by a sister Evelyn Watson of Cornwell Heights, Pa., 16 grand and 25 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her children Frederick E. and Richard P. Leopold and her son in law James R. Robinson.

A funeral service will take place on Tuesday Feb. 7, 2012 at 11 Am from the James J. Terry Funeral Home 736 E. Lancaster Ave, Downingtown where friends may call from 10 till time of service.

Interment will take place at Arlington Cemetary in Drexel Hill.
