Eleanor J. Cabe

Eleanor J. Cabe, 76, of Glenmoore, passed away on Saturday, January 28, 2012 at Brandywine Hospital.

She was the beloved wife of Marshall M. Cabe, with whom she shared 57 years of marriage.

Born in Norristown, Eleanor was the daughter of the late Michael and Julia Wayock Valyo.

She was a graduate of Upper Merion High School.

Eleanor participated in the Norristown Octave Club, where she served as program director.

When she was a resident of Tredyffrin Township, Eleanor, along with her father, was active in her community, expanding the Neighborhood Crime Watch around Yellow Springs and North Valley Roads.
She was a member of the Phoenixville Country Club, where she played golf and platform tennis and also the Coatesville Country Club. She was a member of St. Peter Church in West Brandywine and the Glenmoore Garden Club.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Cabe is survived by her brother, James Valyo and his wife, Mary Ann, of Malvern; sister, Ann Deskiewicz of West Norriton; nephews, Steven, David and Thomas Valyo and Robert Deskiewicz; and neices, Kathleen Valyo and Patricia Skahan.

Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, February 1st at St. Peter Church, 2835 Manor Rd., West Brandywine, PA 19320, where family and friends may call from 9:45 - 10:45 am.

Interment will be in All Souls Cemetery, West Brandywine.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Peter Church Building Fund at the above address.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by the James J. Terry Funeral Home, Downingtown.
