Charles T. Brown, Sr.

Charles T. Brown, Sr., 75, of Downingtown, passed away on Sunday, January 1, 2012 at Brandywine Hospital. 

He was the beloved husband of E. Linda (nee Richards) Brown, with whom he shared 51 years of marriage.

Born in Lancaster, Charles was the son of the late Emmanuel Free and Ruth Naomi (nee Neidlinger) Brown.

He grew up in Exton and graduated from West Chester High School.

Charles proudly served in the U.S. Air Force Reserves for eight years.

He worked at Johnson Matthey for 35 years as a craftsman.

Charles loved to hunt and fish.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Brown is survived by his children, Charles Brown, Jr. and his wife, Carol, of Downingtown, Ken Brown and Angie Rizzo, both of Wagontown; granddaughter, Ali; and sisters, Mary Hoover and her husband, Jacob, of Christiana, Penna., and Sarah Gentile of Erwin, Tenn.

Services and interment will be private.
