Paul C. Bowman

Paul C. Bowman, 88, of Downingtown, passed away on Friday December 9, 2011 at Chester County Hospital in West Chester.

Born in Downingtown, he was the son of the late John M. and Ellie R. Shea Bowman.

A graduate of Downingtown High School, Mr. Bowman worked for Dopaco and then Sunoco before his retirement.

He served in the United States Army during WW II and earned the Good Conduct Medal, American Theatre Services Medal, Victory Medal and As-Pac Theatre Service Medal with 4 Bronze Stars.

He is survived by a brother, Louis Bowman and his wife Catherine of Downingtown; and by many nieces and nephews, and many friends.  He was predeceased by his brothers, John, Joseph, Edmund, George, Charles, Philip and Robert; and sisters, Anna Farrely and Mary Finegan.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday December 17, 2011 at 11 a.m. from St. Joseph Church, 338 Manor Ave, Downingtown, where friends may call from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m.

Interment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, Downingtown.
