Loretta A. Armstrong

Loretta A. Armstrong (nee Cogliano), 65, of Downingtown, was called home by the Lord after a courageous battle with cancer, on Sunday, January 1, 2012 at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Philadelphia, Loretta was the daughter of the late Anthony and Loretta Heagney Cogliano.

She was a 1964 graduate of Bishop Shanahan High School.

For 11 years, Loretta was employed as a Supervisor for Beckett and Lee LLP, Attorneys at Law, in Malvern.

She was a member of St. Joseph Church in Downingtown.

She was the beloved wife of Charles W. "Chuck" Armstrong, with whom she shared 44 years of marriage. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Armstrong is survived by her children, Raymond A. and his wife, Deborah, of Middletown, Delaware, Michele R. Harvey and her husband, Harry, of Downingtown, and Christopher C. and his wife, Nicole, of Branchburg, New Jersey; brother, Robert A. and his wife, Meredith, of Coatesville; seven grandchildren, Christopher, Brittany, Elliott, Pierce, Stephen, Kaitlyn, and Alexandra; and life long friend, Joan Wittig.

In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her sister, Patricia A. and brother, William C.

An evening visitation will be held from 6-8 pm on Sunday, January 8th and a morning visitation will be held from 9:30-10:30 am on Monday, January 9th at the James J. Terry Funeral Home, 736 E. Lancaster Ave., Downingtown.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 am on Monday, January 9th at St. Joseph Church, 338 Manor Ave., Downingtown.

Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Downingtown.
